A K-12 school in Shawnee, KS, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services throughout the upcoming school year under a contract position. This role offers the opportunity to work with students across all grade levels to support their communication development and academic success.
Qualified candidates will hold a current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology and experience or certification in school-based speech-language services. The ideal professional will possess strong assessment and intervention skills tailored to the educational setting, collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans addressing students' needs
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Collaborate with educational teams to support student learning and communication goals
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Provide ongoing consultation and support to educators and families
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current CCC from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Licensure or certification as required by the state of Kansas for School SLPs
